UK Recession — Prior to Autumn 2009 — More Severe Than Originally Feared

July 12, 2010 — “The deepest recession in Great Britain’s post-way history was even more severe than previously feared, the government said today,” reports Larry Elliott, economics editor for The Guardian (UK).

“Six successive quarters of negative economic growth from spring 2008 until autumn 2009 were the toughest for the economy since the Great Depression of the 1930s.     Continue reading…
