UN Investigator Says Shame on America for Not Spending More to Help Homeless
November 12, 2009 — “Raquel Rolnik, United Nations special rapporteur for the right to adequate housing, who has just completed a seven-city tour of America, said it was shameful that a country as wealthy as the U.S. was not spending more money on lifting its citizens out of homelessness and substandard, overcrowded housing,” reports Chris McGreal from Los Angeles in The Guardian (UK).
